Exhibitions to see at Art Safari Women:

Marie of Romania, Queen and Artist, alongside the “Women Painters and Sculptors” (Sept. 6 – Dec. 15)
An emblematic figure of our monarchy, painter, furniture designer, art collector and artist. We dedicate to her a large exhibition that brings together paintings, decorative pieces, furniture and photographs, organised in partnership with Peleș National Museum, Brukenthal National Museum and “Queen Marie” Municipality Museum, Iași.

Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck. The First Female Art Professor in Europe (Sept. 6 – Dec. 15)
Romanian woman artist with a strong influence in the cultural life of the interwar period, Europe’s first female art teacher. The exhibition, organised in partnership with Bucharest Municipality Museum, presents paintings from the 1930s and 1940s.

Breasts. An Exhibition Like No Other (Sept. 6 – Dec. 15)
An absolute first in terms of Romanian exhibitions, exploring the representation of breasts in Romanian art, from painting, sculpture to installations.

Young Blood 3.0. The New Wave of Contemporary Female Artists (Sept. 6 – Dec. 15, and at Promenada Mall: Sept. 19 – Nov. 17)
What is hot in the art created by the new wave of Romanian contemporary women artists? From oil on canvas to… sky is the limit! The exhibition takes place at Art Safari and Promenada Mall.

Sibylle Bergemann. Fashion, art, culture through the lens of a woman (Sept. 6 – Dec. 15)
The work of one of Germany’s leading contemporary photographers. Born in Berlin, Sibylle Bergemann was initially a fashion photographer, but she soon became known also for her photographic essays and for her precise observations on hidden details.

An exhibition about how beauty can become a source of confidence

Yvonne Hasan. Magic Squares (Sept. 19 – Nov. 10)
one of the important figures of Romanian art. Her varied practice includes a multitude of elements – artistic mediums, such as collage, painting, drawing or tapestry, as well as the integration of objects belonging to her daily life, forming a true study of the time.
